Air Traffic Control Tower

The 87 foot tower is the first phase of the overall project and included an eight sided, 517 square foot control cab. The six level shaft contains a hydraulic elevator and stairwell. The cab access from the sixth level is by stair only. The floors below house the weather observation station, restrooms, break room, communication equipment rooms, offices, and the controller operation area.

The second phase added a base building that houses a VIP lounge and press room. A two-deck modernized viewing platform for national television broadcasting and local newspaper reporters is built over the 2,130 square foot base building. Both buildings are sprinkled for fire protection.
